youre going in July im assuming by your ticker in your signature...book it 90 days out...I thought it was very nice...If you are going with kids who like things like that they do have one earlier with Mary Poppins...or at least they did in September!

It's a wonderfully relaxing way to spend some time out of the heat and away from the crowds. I'd love to do it again

We've done it several times and really enjoyed it! Once we did it with two of our 9-year old granddaughters and they had a ball! They loved having their own teapots filled with hot chocolate, and they loved the little sandwiches, cakes, ans scones!

I'm the sole voice of dissent. :( We did the high tea and I was terribly disappointed. :( The sandwiches were so old the bread was dried out and curling. The scones were cold and crunchy, and the service was sloppy (spilled food, etc.). We did have the champagne and that was nice, but that's about it.

We had reservations and still had to wait quite a bit to be seated (a very surly CM at the podium) and no, it wasn't busy.

For the high cost we'll stick with a lovely ride to Mt. Dora and have high tea there at the Windsor Rose with proper English service. :D (It's owned by an English woman and she does a beautiful job).

I know everyone else loves it there but we won't be returning.

I've been several times and it has been nothing but excellent.

We did a tea service for my sister's bridal party. I just want to say the one we went to here was just sad. I completely compared it to the GF one and it came up short.

I thought it was lovely - and I didn't know you could do it with Mary Poppins, that would be fun!

I'd love to do Tink's Mt Dora one some day!

Mt. Dora is very lovely, Kazza. It's not all that far from WDW and is one of those little picturesque towns with pretty shops and a good choice of places to have lunch, dinner or tea!

We like going there from time to time. Depending upon the route you use to get there, you can combine it with a stop at the Yalaha bakery. :D

    We got that too

It was so empty, only three tables occupied, we asked if there was any space. She was so incredulous that we should dare ask that I cut her off half way through her five minutes speil on how busy they were and asked if I could book for another day. She said she had no idea an stood there arms folded like some dragon guarding its egg.

I'd still like to try it though I guess

Lord help them if they cross their arms with me... I shall so not be responsible for my tongue lashing. I cannot bear rudeness on that scale, where do they think they are? Buckingham Palace? and even then I wouldn't put up with that rudeness. Do these people want their jobs or what?

Ok...see I know there are bad cms only because I read about them...I guess we have just been way lucky. Now having said that..

Keith, I booked mine when I did my dinning bookings. I guess that bypassed the she heffer at the podium LOL. Give that a try before your next trip in :) BTW... My Mom and I had such a lovely time....we went in right when they started serving tea.

We booked ours ahead of time too, but the CM at the podium still "greeted us" (is that what that was? ) and told us to "sit over there and wait" with a flip of her hand.

Most CMs are wonderful. I think it's more that we go so often, we can't help but run into a few who are not happy with what they do. You'll find that in any company, eh? Disney is no exception.

Oh, I know it, Helly. That set the tone more than anything else! :sigh:

The server brought the scones too early. We were still having our dried out curling sandwiches, so we asked her to hold up a bit. She flipped her hand at us and rolled her eyes. I'm tellin' ya', must have been a day at the GF or something. They were all snarky that day.

Oh I would not have put up with that. I am sorry you experienced that. We have never had anything but impeccable service from anyone at the GF.

The server then put the scones on a sideboard and when we were ready brought us cold, crunchy scones. Nope. Not a good experience.

Simple fix really. We don't go back. :D

We've had excellent service at Mizner's and 1900 Park Fare.
