SHREK 4D
Universal Express: Yes
Age range: Adults, teens, pre-teens, children
Additional Information: Stationery seats available . 2-Parts: Preshow / Show. Guests may remain in wheelchair or ECV.

As you enter the holding room just outside the theater, you will notice that you are in a torture chamber. Here you will get your OrgeVision glasses. The Magic Mirror is here and you'll notice three little sets of eyes belonging to the three little pigs peering our from crates on the wall. A wooden nose (Pinnochio) is also held captive. One of Lord Farquaad's henchmen (sarcastic yet funny) instructs you on the many rules of the theater where violators will receive a generous supply of floggings. The magic mirror will give you a a short but excellent review of the first movie and how Shrek and Fiona lived happily ever after. However, the ghost of Lord Farquaad has returned from beyond to spring his ghastly plan, seek revenge of Shrek and claim Princess Fiona for himself. As Farquaad sets off, you are whisked away to the theater for your torture!

While in the theatre, they instruct the audience to strap on their seat belts. They then reveal there are none. The movie starts at Shrek and Fiona embark on their honeymoon. But the adventure begins as Fiona is kidnapped by Farquaad's henchmen, Thelonious. Although the animation is 3-D, the ride is a 4-D film, which means it is designed to make viewers feel what they are watching. For example when Donkey sneezes, the front of the seats spray mist into viewers' face. It also has movable seats, air jets and rubber tubing, to simulate other effects such as air, "creepy crawlies" and other movements.

Each individual seat is a bicycle, whose handles come down as the lap bar. The bike in the middle of the front row contains E.T. The you're off, making your way through the forest while police and scientists block your path. Just like the movie, E.T. will use his magic to send you high above the forest and city below.  As you are about to be caught, a police car appears out of no where and just as you are about to hit it, the bicycles begin to fly over the city and then into outer space. From on your bike, you can see the miniature city below. The bikes are then transported to the Green Planet.

SAN FRANCISCO

DISASTER!
Universal Express: No
Age range: Adults, teens & pre-teens
Additional Information: No height requirements
Set on a soundstage of a fictitious movie company, Disaster! comically illustrates how special effects are filmed for use in movies. The attraction's climax casts the riders as "extras" for a movie finale scene involving an earthquake in a subway station. Thanks to high-speed editing techniques, the riders get to see their handiwork in the form of a movie trailer that includes film sequences shot throughout the attraction's pre-show and main show.

Guests board a subway station where the ride vehicle enters a disaster scene including pyrotechnics and water. You'll leave from Oakland and arrive in Embarcadero station in San Francisco Bay. As the train comes to a complete stop, a disturbing rumble is felt. The P.A. system will inform you that you have just experienced a mild tremor. But the rumbling starts again, louder and louder. That's when things really start to fall apart. The ground beneath you rattles your train back and forth. Sparks are everywhere along the station. You see the street above you open up to reveal a propane tanker truck sliding right for your train. As it crashes on the steal beam between you and the truck, it bursts into flames. It doesn't appear that you were the only subway train catch in the devastation. A second train from the opposite side jumps the tracks and head straight for you. Being in San Francisco Bay...all of the water comes down the stairs on the opposite side. When the water recedes you'll have just experienced 8.3 of the Richter scale.

JAWS
Universal Express: Yes
Age range: Adults, teens & pre-teens. Although the ride is not really scary for adults, smaller children may find the experience too intense.
Additional Information: No height restrictions. Guests in wheelchairs and Motorized Transportation Vehicles must transfer to the boat for this attraction.

The tour begins in Amity Harbor as the tour boat passes the homes of Chief Brody and Mayor Larry Vaughn. As the tour boat approaches a lighthouse, the tour is interrupted by a distress call. His call for help degenerates into screams of terror, followed by an eerie silence. As the skipper contacts base to figure out what is going on with Gordon's boat, the tour boat rounds the lighthouse as the remains of Gordon's tour boat, Amity 3, sinks into the murky waters of the harbor.

Suddenly, a dorsal fin rises out of the water...the fin of what appears to be a very large shark. The shark submerges and passes beneath the boat, rocking it back and forth.

The skipper then decides to hide out inside of an old boathouse. Suddenly, something bangs into the side of the boathouse, knocking boats and other fishing gear off of the walls and into the water. Attempting to escape, the skipper struggles to get the tour boat's engine to drop into gear, succeeding just as the giant shark surfaces inside of the boathouse and grazes the side of the boat with its mouth open.

As the tour boat leaves the boathouse, the skipper is informed by base that Chief Brody will be there in ten minutes. Knowing that the tour boat (and its passengers) will be shark bait in ten minutes, the skipper arms himself with the grenade launcher just as the shark attacks the tour boat again near.

As a last resort, the skipper decides to unload everyone at an old fishing dock that happens to be located near a high voltage barge. But before they are able to start unloading passengers, the shark reappears heading straight for the tour boat. Suddenly, the shark emerges right next to the tour boat as it bites down onto a submerged power cable and electrocutes itself. The smell of roasted shark fills the air as the shark disappears into a white cloud of smoke. Its charred corpse then resurfaces and makes one final lunge at the tour boat. But the skipper shoots at it one last time with a grenade launcher and finally hits it, destroying the shark and restoring the tranquility of Amity Harbor.

Additional Information: Height requirement of 42” Any child who meets the height requirements for the rides but is less than 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult who can assist the child to enter and exit the ride. It's up to you to protect the Earth from aliens in Men in Black Alien Attack. As an agent trainee, you'll zap aliens as you chase them through the streets of New York in this high-tech ride based on the hit movie.

Trainees board their training vehicles in the MIB training facility. They are then given laser guns and presented with a red button which they are told not to push. Aliens vary from large, plain-in-sight creatures to small ones hiding in windows and bushes. Certain aliens will fire back causing the cart to spin. You are also pitted against another team of players (riding on a separate vehicle), when mid-ride, they are revealed to be aliens. Shooting a light on top of the other cart (referred to as a fusion exhaust port), will increase your score and cause their cart to spin. Near the end of the ride, the Giant Cocroach Alien known as the Edgar bug from the first film appears, which is immune to laser fire. Zed orders the riders to finally press the red button. There is a small window of time when the button is effective, and the first rider to press the button during this window are granted a 100 thousand point bonus.

Line up on a tiered observation platform under a corrugated metal roof, overlooking a simulated outdoor scene featuring a view of a rural drive-in theater and a diner at dusk as dark clouds roll overhead. Suddenly, a tree gets struck by lightning, scenes from The Shining appear on the movie screen, sirens sound briefly, and winds in the room get stronger. A small light can be seen inside a house in the distance, as well as voices of a family getting into their storm cellar. A simulated tornado drops from the sky, and rain begins to fall. The tornado wrecks the drive-in screen, the diner, and a car, and causes a fireball to erupt. The roof of the observation platform also threatens to tear off. A cow, lifted by the wind, flies past the spectators. As the "storm" dies, the floor of the standing area lurches with a sudden drop, giving guests a final scare.

Imhotep then comes out of a coffin, sucks out Reggie's soul, and tells riders that he will rule forever with their souls. The cars next move into a second room where there is treasure on the left and right sides of the car and a holograph of Imhotep appears in front of them and warns them to forfeit their souls while soldier mummies appear in front of the treasure. The car then quickly moves into another room where scarab beetles come pouring out of a wall in front of them and the car drops backwards and turns in a 180 degree circle and up a 45 mph blast off as Imhotep states: "Your souls are mine!"
