Hello all,

I thought I'd enter a few quick points to note when choosing between BA and other airlines.

BA have no weight restriction on cabin baggage anymore - this was a real factor on my most recent trip as by the time I had packed my camera, camcorder and other gadgets into my cabin bag (I wouldn't want to risk losing this stuff in the suitcase!), I would have only just met the weight restriction on Virgin. That is, without any of the other essentials I would have needed to pack.

In addition to your cabin bag, BA will permit you to take another make-up, camera or laptop bag. Virgin do not officially permit this, but I have read reports that they have allowed passengers to carry on the additional bag.

For me, the cabin allowance is crucial to my decision of carrier.

The BA Boeing 777 fleet that is currently in operation between LGW & MCO (at least those on which I have flown) do not currently have the video on demand entertainment system.

The meals on BA are abysmal, but then, all airline food is to me.

I hope this helps. I know I certainly did not find this comparison when I was trying to decide on which airline to choose.
