I started this review by saying "not totally disney" both a pro and a con.. to explain, the Dolphin is not a disney hotel even though it's slap bang in the middle of Disney between MGM and Epcot!
This means that if you're totally disney'd out and long for some good old deluxe business hotel accommodations, this is it! on the other hand, it may perhaps be a stark experience for some disneyphiles to return to at the end of the day since none of the rooms are disney decorated. Another drawback is that you cant use your room key as a disney charge card and perhaps worse, you can't use the Disney Magical Express service to/from this hotel.
All that aside, I love this hotel. It's an all-in-one rather than motel style like all stars. It's very lavishly decorated especially at christmas and has a large number of EXCELLENT restaurants such as Shulas steakhouse and Blue Zoo.
The location couldnt get much better, walkable to epcot and mgm (don't worry, there are boats too).
Disney transportation does go to this resort but it's shared with yacht club, beach club, boardwalk and so can get very busy.
There are teacher, AAA (aa for UK) and other discounts to be had that can make this an absolute bargain!
Definitely recommended
