Disney's Animal Kingdom is "Nah-ta-zu", get it? Not a Zoo! In fact it's much more more! An essential part of any trip to Disney World.
Opened on April 22nd 1998, Disney's Animal Kingdom is the newest of the Disney Parks in Orlando. Costing nearly $1billion to complete, Animal Kingdom is one of the largest parks totally 500 Acres and home to over 1700 animals from over 250 different species.
The Park's iconic logo is the Tree of Life. 145foot tall and 14stories of cleverly imagineered and yet artifical tree has images of more than 300 different animals hand carved into its volumous trunk. Inside the tree in true Disney fashion, guests are treated to a 3D film show called "It's tough to be a bug".
