We have a new member of staff at work who is going to Florida this year but can't afford to actually go to all of the parks. She has a husband and 8 year old daughter going with her.

I was trying to think of a few ways they could get a little taste of Disney without the Disney price tag.....ie free. Anymore suggestions to the below ideas would be very welcome...

    1...Disney Springs
2...Drawing Class - at Art of Animation (similar to what used to be at DHS)
    3...Water Pageant
4...GF - certain days at 3.30pm I know they do a Cinderella/Prince Charming meet n greet. Cinderella walks down the staircase and joins guests
    5...View animals at AKL
    6...Fireworks from Poly

If they aren't going to be staying at a Disney resort they may have a problem getting into one of the resorts.. I'm not sure how Disney is handling that.

I think they will be ok but have said it isn't 100%. We always get into the resorts fine and we never stay onsite so fingers crossed.
I know they can't use the pools at the resorts but they should be fine having a meal and a wander.

generally speaking a quick "friends are staying here, we're meeting them at the bar" works fine

that's a really good question... I didnt realise they were doing a drawing class at AoA I really miss it from DHS :(

Could they spring for a ferrytale wishes party? It's a good time with food/drink and a view of the fireworks.. very Disney'y albeit yep, there's a cost.

Monorail round the resorts? get on at ttc and go round poly/GF/contemporary etc.

There used to be the campfire at Fort Wilderness that was free, not sure if it still exists .
I am not sure if it is allowed or not but couldn't they park at Disney Springs and bus it to any resort from there.

And yes as far as I know Disney is not requiring Magic Band or Tickets to use the bus service so they could park at Disney Springs and hop a bus to the Camp Ground as resort guests.

Will they be spending at least one day in a park? I would think it would be a terrible tease to take an 8 yr old and say look but you can't go in.
