Hey all! I bought a Garmin Vivofit 3 on the 13th. I had a heck of a time finding a device I could actually wear to work that wouldn't require a special waiver just to get it into the building. No WiFi, no cellular, etc. I can have Bluetooth, though, since it won't connect to anything. I looked at Fitbits, but I couldn't find one that met my special requirements that I actually liked. So I found the Garmin. Several people at work have them and recommended it.

It tells the time, the date, how many steps I've taken, how many I need to take to reach that day's goal, calories burned, etc. I like it! Anyone else use a step counter to help them stay active?

Same here. The alarm on my Garmin shames me into getting up and walking - at least until the red goes away! Lol. But I have been making my goals (except for this past weekend when it was just too darned hot to go outside and walk).

I had a lady at work stop me and tell me how impressed she was with the pace I was walking. That was nice. Of course, after she walked away, I just about keeled over from exhaustion! LOL

So I just got a message on my phone from Garmin Connect congratulating me for exceeding my goals for the past 4 days! It also had an encouraging message about keeping up the good work.

I've just got a little fit bit, it only counts my steps and I think that's all, it's a very basic one.

As long as it works and gets you moving, that's all that counts!
