What mobile phone you got? I'm in market to get new one and I'm dreadfully bored with Apple iOS. I got everything (mac laptop, watch, ipad) so pretty much stuck in iOS ecosystem.

I know new Iphone meant to be amazing. Just feels bit bored with iOS system overall. I know it robust etc.ne thing stopping me from changing phone is FaceTime. I used it everyday. There's google duo which is similar.

Have been looking at OnePlus 5.. anyone here have one?

I know I've boasted before, but we work in comms and we get all the phones to test with our systems.

My tech office has the same debate most days, "Im bored of ios" but "what do I try?" and so people borrow the various phones, 99% return to ios.

The truth about tech boredom is you'll get bored with whatever you have... so if you swapped to android, give it a few months and it'd be yawn city and you'll want apple again.

The oneplus is great and good value for money, as is the google pixel (new version out soon) and the samsung 8.

I'm with you, I pick up my iphone and it doesnt wow me, I know it, bored in a way, it works.... but then I only need to try spending a week with android to come running back to IOS ;-O

Still, if you fancy a change, why not. You can always swap back again.

Just bear in mind samsung are going to release details of their next phones in the next two weeks, then you have google pixel (which gets the very latest android constantly) so you may want to wait and see samsung/google and then apple announce before deciding where to stick your money.

Im definitely going for the iphone 8 but then I'm a complete apple maniac and always have been. I mean I've just said I'm committing to a phone that will likely be £1k (or more) without seeing it, knowing what's new in it and the first models may well be buggy anyway. Still I'll be there day one, trying desperately to give them my money.

but I think the iphone 8 will be the most exciting phone apple do so that's my way of mitigating the boredom for a while ;-)

unfortunately though I dont have a good history of buying day one :( I keep refreshing apple store at 8am and I never seem to get the first batch. With the iphone 8, theyre saying if you dont get in the first few minutes, it could be 2018 before you get one

Oh god.... I'm hoping to get iPhone 8 too you are right. iOS is boring but ecosystem does work maybe why it is 'boring' as it just 'works' if that make sense

I truly think thats exactly what it is! its been the same look and feel for years but yet it just works... I just wish that the start screen was more like the swipe right screen.. so I could turn on the phone and see weather, traffic, appointments etc instead of the same old boring icon screen

I agree. Need to have some options what we want to see rather being forced to use the same template as others. As if I'm on holiday I like to create one page specifically for my holiday

and thats really the problem with apple :( they're never much into letting us choose to configure, they're always more about "we've designed it this way to be beautiful, so like it."

yeah across the board, even with windows 10, apple stuff is still more elegant and refined that what else is out there.. so, +s and -s as always

I assume Apple test their updates before release! [Remember my issues Keith?] :)
