What do you all think of the new dining plan at Magic Kingdom
As far as I know it is a prepaid Quick Service Dining Plan starting on January 12th for a limited period.

This allows you two quick service mains and a drink for $29 plus tax

My thoughts: Does this really save you that much? SeaWorld, Busch Gardens etc offer a dining plan for the same sort of price but it is unlimited all day including breakfast with a drink, main and a side every time you go through a till

I worked out for a caseys dinner or lunch you would save around $1 and you are tied in - i can't see the attraction personally

Is this in place of the Quick Service Dining option or is this an option for off-property guests? It would really matter what locations are participating as to how good a deal it works out to be.

The participating locations are Casey's, Cosmic Ray's, Pinocchio Village House, Columbia Harbour House and Pecos Bill's. The most expensive item in any of them is the 1/2 chicken and pulled pork combo ($15.99) at Cosmic Ray's. So IF you ate there twice, bought that both times with a soft drink it would come to $38.56+ tax.

this is for off property guests......wouldn't be worth it for us. SW for example, is worth their daily dining plan. We have breakfast there, lunch of a main, side (dessert or salad etc) and a drink and the same at dinner if we want. All drinks are free all day.....as is the likes of an ice cream if you get it from the participating eateries

If I was not staying on property I would be eating off property just to sample the different places down there from home.

I wasn't very impressed with it to be honest, it just doesn't work out for me. On the other hand the SeaWorld one is really good.
