pre-ordered about 30 seconds after it became available after following it for 2 years in development!

I in no way want to bias you one way or the other :) on the one hand it's very much 2nd gen tech (1st gen being the rubbish we had 10 yrs ago) and you can see where it'll be in 5 years time! on the other hand, it may be new but it's so much better than anything we've had before that you can't help but say wow.

we've been using beta test software that lets us have meetings. It provides a rather hotel like conference room and 3d avatars of people walk in and sit down. It's crazy how quickly I forgot I was in VR!

That's part of the story of course, there's augmented reality which is going to be a whole new ball game in training (don't need to tell you about that!) and interaction.

I'm genuinely thrilled by the possibilities

yeah you'll be great with that! I always swear by alienware, this is mine http://www.dell.com/uk/p/alienware-area51-r2/pd.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs

tilt brush is amazing. get a couple of people in vr walking round a virtual creation adding this, changing that. amazing tech

Do get a zombie game though :) they're all great and it's surprising how horrifying it can be when a zombie creeps up behind you even though you KNOW it's not real...

Phew! Thanks for that. Was worried about it might not be powerhouse that it's need to be.

Is set up easy? I am hoping to do a good set up for both sitting and standing game.

Going to buy the blue game (under sea ones) I had a go at Harrods and it was amazing and surreal experience!

Re Tilt brush. I have been trying to find out if it is possible to share my art work in 3D to an app on iPad for example? Would love to send it to my parents for example any ideas?

    Is Disney VR any good?

Is there anything I need to be aware of?

Quick question. Have you managed to watch blu-Ray using Vive? If so does subtitles work?

Do you know if it is possible to have two headset at the same time?

yeah it's easy but a BIT tedious with all the cables. In the future, they have to ditch the thick cable from the headset to the computer, everyone ends up tripping on it.

The main setup really are the motion detectors which could ideally be placed at the upper corners of the room for best effect.

Once you have it setup it just works and its great

I've not tried multiple headsets on one machine ;( and though I have tried watching movies, I've not tried subtitles yet

Hope you don't mind me asking questions about Vive? I'm interested in project cars. Do you know if it works fine with Vive controllers or do I need to buy steering wheel controller?

Got Vive yesterday after few issues with updating the controllers. War Thunder keeps crashing so need to find a work around.

It good so far. Just trying to adjust the visibility as it currently blurry around the edge and clear in the centre.

Just hoping that Currys will email me the code for 3 free games :/ there are few threads online that Currys has not been giving the code as they said its HTC and HTC saying its Currys' responsible to provide the code as they got them already.

Keith, we enjoyed vibe so far... The headset and controllers keeps disconnecting. After a bit of research we were gutted to find that one of the lighthouse is broken. There should be two laser beams. One of the unit only has one. Log report flagged up axis 0 failed. Grr going to call Currys to get it replaced. Such a bummer as only had it for few days.

Aww! :( Now, that I do understand. Broken new things, quite bluntly, suck. :( Hopefully, they'll get it taken care of promptly.

That's good news! It's not often that such a quick and positive response is received from merchants any more. Hope the replacement solves all the problems!
