Each day one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to an extra three hours in the evening after regular park closing time so guests of a Disney Resort Hotel get extra time in the parks. (Disney Resorts, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts, Shades of Green, and the Hilton at Downtown Disney are eligible) Enjoy easy access to select attractions — even the most popular ones! Make the most of your holiday time thanks to shorter lines, cooler nights and mornings – and see and do everything at an easy, relaxed pace. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy additional time in the Theme Parks-above and beyond the standard operating schedule – at no extra charge.
To take advantage of Extra Magic Hours at the Water Parks, you must have a Resort I.D. and the Water Park Fun & More Option on your Magic Your Way Ticket or a One Day Water Park Ticket for the Park offering the Extra Magic Hours benefit that day.
To take advantage of extended Disney Theme Park hours, you must visit the designated Park at the designated time. When checking in at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will receive a schedule detailing when each Park offers Extra Magic Hours so you can be sure to plan your schedule accordingly. This means if the park is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. to the general public, the Extra Magic Hour begins at 8 a.m. Transportation for the park offering Morning Extra Magic Hour will begin 30 minutes earlier than the opening time.
How It Works:
Morning Hours-Arrive up to an hour before the designated Theme Park is scheduled to open and show your valid Theme Park ticket and Resort I.D. at the Theme Park turnstiles. If the park is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. to the general public, the Extra Magic Hour begins at 8 a.m. Transportation for the park offering Morning Extra Magic Hour will begin 30 minutes earlier than the opening time.
Evening Hours-Valid theme park ticket and Resort I.D. are required. Each member of your party will need to present their Resort I.D. for accessing evening Extra Magic Hours offerings.
Please note that not all Theme Park Attractions are available during Extra Magic Hours.

What type of ticket do I need to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours benefit?
In addition to being a Disney Resort Guest, a valid Theme park ticket is required. To get the most out of the Extra Magic Hours benefit, add the Park Hopper Option for optimal flexibility. If you do not have the Park Hopper Option and would like to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours Benefit, your Theme Park selection must be the Park offering the Extra Magic Hours benefit that day. Remember, without the Park Hopper Option, you can only visit one Theme Park per day. Please plan ahead and check the schedule.
What credentials do I need to take advantage of the evening Extra Magic Hours benefit?
Until September 7, 2008, Disney World used wristbands during EMH hours to identify on-site guests. As of this date, they will only continue to use wristbands during Typhoon Lagoon EMH. Disney World has made this change to keep millions of non-recyclable bands out of landfills each year, in support of their commitment to operating in an environmentally responsible manner. In addition, they feel it will enhance the guest experience.
Now, guests will be required to show their resort ID cards (Keys to the Kingdom) for admission to morning EMH and during evening EMH. This makes it essential to bring resort IDs for every member of your party to the park, even the kids.
