ATTRACTION: Turtle Talk with Crush.
WHERE: The Seas Pavilion
RESTRICTIONS: Fun for all.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Guests may remain in wheelchair. Each show is 12 minutes long and a new show starts every 20 minutes.
 
On reaching the boarding area you are transported by Clam-Mobiles, where you join Mr. Ray on a field trip. Nemo goes missing and the pursuit begins. Animation and puppetry combine to make this a fun filled trip into Nemo’s world.  
 
The waiting area features two tanks full of different species of Rays. A tank of Jellyfish, and a smaller aquarium with “Nemo & Friends” swimming on it.
turtle-talkThe attraction takes place inside a theatre featuring a large “window to the ocean” (the movie screen). Kids are encouraged to sit up front so that they will have a better view of Crush. After taking your seat, watch Crush swim to the window from his ocean home and begin taking questions and chatting with audience members.  Crush can communicate directly—in real time—and hold unique, improvised conversations with audience members. Kids will get a kick out of the character talking directly to them, identifying them by the colour of their shell (their clothing). No two shows are alike.
 
He’s got personality plus!  He’s Crush from the Disney film “Finding Nemo,” and he’s the star of this attraction. The 152-year-old turtle recognizes guests and asks them questions about themselves and the human world. Crush also answers human’s questions about his world.  
 
 
 
 

honey-i-shrunkATTRACTION: Honey I Shrunk The Audience.
WHERE: Future World.
RESTRICTIONS: Fun for all…..especially big kids, teens and adults. This show may be scary for younger children and those with phobias of mice or snakes.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: FASTPASS available. Rider swap available. 18 minutes long / 14 minute pre-show. Guests may remain in their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to experience the attraction. 
 
Professor Wayne Szalinski is at it again and this time you’re the one who gets shrunk. Appearing at the Imagination Institute to receive an Inventor of the Year award. He asks the audience to wear special 3D safety goggles for his demonstrations. This adventure reduces the 570-person audience to the size of a bread box and then shakes up the crowd with a few surprises.
This interactive adventure has special effects such as motion and smoke. Be ready to feel the mice, face the fangs of a python and duck when a dog has a very itchy nose!

ellenJoin Ellen DeGeneres on a whimsical trip through time to examine the forces that fuel our lives and the universe—plus give us energy! 
 
Ellen falls sleep in front of the television while watching Jeopardy! Her dream of being a contestant on the game show turns alarming when she realizes she’s pitted against her college rival “Smart Judy” and the quiz categories are all about energy—a subject Ellen knows nothing about. 
  
Lucky for her, Bill Nye the Science Guy is her neighbor and together they travel through time for some tutoring on the topic. Join them on their journey through the creation of the universe. See and hear the explosive Big Bang. Travel around, between and under giant dinosaurs. Narrowly escape streams of molten lava. Discover how fossil fuels were formed. Float far above Earth with satellites and atoms, and finally, explore a future filled with fusion power.

An interactive play area where kids of all ages are invited to unlock the power of their own creativity. Hands-on, sensory-themed activities and exhibits where you can exercise your imagination and explore your creative side in exciting exhibits that allow you to do things like:

  • Wave your arms and move your body to create magical music
  • Transform yourself into an animal and e-mail the photo to friends
  • Videotape your image and play it back in super slow motion
  • Photograph yourself with the world’s biggest digital camera and e-mail the photo to family and friends!

Slap Stick Studios You are the main attraction at this interactive comedy game show. “What’s Your Problem?” challenges you to use your problem-solving abilities, and the results will have you laughing all day. Creativity abounds as children of all ages enjoy designing their own personalized “pet frog” to take home with them. Presented by The Velcro Companies.
ThinkPlace Put yourself inside a video game and play in a whole new way. You’ll become an avatar, and run, jump, and dance your way through the game.
Smarter Planet Smarter technology is leading to a smarter planet! Have you ever imagined being the star of your very own video game? IBM has designed a new way to play and puts you in the game at Run Time. Create an avatar that runs, jumps and looks just like you and then play your way through computing history. The fun doesn’t have to end at the finish of the game because you can email a version home and continue playing. Presented by IBM.
Rockin’ Robots You are the conductor as these four robots take the stage to create beautiful music. Direct the robo-band as they use everything from metal chimes, gongs, crates, and car horns to create music with a beat. Presented by KUKA.
Video Playground Experience the newest in Disney Interactive video games. You don’t have to be a kid to get caught up in the excitement. Feel like you’re a part of the action and experience gaming like you’ve never seen it before.
Segway Central Have you seen the world’s first self-balancing, electric powered personal transportation device? Test a Segway Personal Transporter (PT) yourself, and move forward, backward, or stay at rest on the cutting-edge alternative to walking. Presented by Segway, Inc.
Where’s the Fire? Save the most dangerous house in America by identifying everyday fire hazards. Small children can “play it safe” in a house designed specifically to educate them on escape routes and to “stop, drop, cover your face and roll.” Discover your inner firefighter at the Firefighter Photo station and send a photo postcard to family and friends at home or try to become a “Fire Chief” by answering the most questions correctly at the Burning Questions stations. Presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Innoventions East

Attraction Description
Sum of All Thrills How much energy does it take for a jet to fly or a rollercoaster to climb its first hill? Discover the answers to these questions as you uncover your “inner engineer.” Using the principles of math, science and engineering, “kids of all ages” can design and customize their very own thrill ride. Once your creation is complete–take off in a simulator to experience your personalized jet plane, bobsled or rollercoaster ride. Presented by Raytheon. Note that guests must transfer from wheelchair or ECV, and height requirements are in effect.
Don’t Waste It! Compete with your team to discover how to reduce, reuse, and recycle the waste you create every day. Pilot a mini-trash truck through interactive games that allow you to “recover the resource” and save the environment. Presented by Waste Management, Inc.
Stormstruck Experience the power of a weather event complete with wind, rain and lightning while learning how to best prepare your home for impending weather perils. Kids will enjoy building a storm safety kit and everyone will have the ability to send home information from the “Weather Safe” kiosks. Presented by Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH) and its partners Renaissance Re, Simpson Strong-Tie and State Farm.
The Great Piggy Back Adventure Take an exciting learning challenge that incorporates physical and virtual elements to teach everyone in the family the importance of sound financial planning.
Test the Limits Lab Produce safety testers needed to shatter, torture, slam and drop the products that Underwriters Laboratories engineers test every day. Fun for kids of all ages, this safety testing experience allows you to analyze the safety and design of everyday products and “test their limits.” The Safety Smart Lab provides short presentations on how to keep your family safe and secure at home. Presented by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.

 

 

figmentATTRACTION: Journey Into Imagination With Figment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Rider swap available. Guests may remain in their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to experience the attraction. There are four cars travelling together, each can seat about five people.

Journey Into Imagination With Figment begins with an invitation by Chairman Dr. Nigel Channing to attend an open house event at his Imagination Institute.

Inside his precious sensory labs, Dr. Channing sets out to prove how the 5 senses—sound, sight, smell, touch and taste—capture and control the imagination. But, the playful and mischievous purple dragon Figment has joined the tour too where he screws around with the sight chart and causes quite a stink in the Smell Lab.

Taking over the tour, Figment leads you to his whimsical upside-down house where, from this topsy-turvy perspective, he proves that imagination works best when set free.

Preschoolers will enjoy both the lively images and storyline of this whimsical ride. Figment’s antics are sure to draw a giggle or two, and the Imageworks play area are a big hit as well.

Living with the Land is a 14-minute boat ride that explores agricultural advances in the rain forest, Africa and beyond.
Set sail on a voyage of discovery through living laboratories. Cruise through a tropical rain forest, the African desert and the American plains to discover the latest developments in aquaculture and desert farming. Float by experimental greenhouses – checking out the many plants growing in…sand! Take a fascinating first-hand look at an aqua environment with alligators.

The Tropics Greenhouse – Features crops native to Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and the southern United States. Rice, sugar cane, peanuts, cacao, bananas and a 59-foot peach palm flourish under a 60-foot dome.

The Aquacell showcases crops that swim. fish and other aquatic life including alligators, catfish, tilapia, sunshine bass and American eel.

The Temperate Greenhouse – Concepts and technologies of sustainable agriculture, including intercropping, integrated pest management and specialized irrigation systems that reduce waste and increase crop production are featured here.

The Production Greenhouse – Produces tons of tomatoes, peppers, lettuce and other vegetables that are grown for use in The Land’s Garden Grill Restaurant and other Epcot restaurants. Land scientists utilize growing systems that are kinder to the environment and improve productivity.

The Creative House shows imaginative ways to grow crops – without soil, hanging in the air, even on a space station.

 

 

ATTRACTION: Mission:Space
WHERE: SPACE pavilion
RESTRICTIONS: 44 inches or taller. For big kids, teens and adults
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: FASTPASS available. Rider swap available. Guests must transfer from their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to board the ride vehicle. May cause motion sickness. For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride.
 
missionspaceMission: SPACE, is a motion simulator ride. It is as close as you can get to blasting off into space without leaving Earth. This attraction realistically mimics what an astronaut might experience during a space flight to Mars.
Each member of your astronaut team has a challenging role in a cosmic mission dodging meteors and navigating nebulae. Available in 2 versions—as an astronaut in training, you are given the choice to be a part of the Orange Team or the Green Team. Select the Orange Team for exhilarating and intense training or opt for the Green Team and have a less intense galactic adventure.
Each team member will be given an on-board position with  assignments to perform during the mission. The positions include Navigator, Pilot, Commander and Engineer.  
Sitting side by side with the other members of your team. Feel the rush of take-off as you embark on a thrill-packed training adventure through space to Mars.
The outcome of your mission varies depending on how well you and your team mates perform your assignments.
 

  

 

ATTRACTION: Soarin’

Fasten your seat belt on the multi-passenger glider and be lifted 40 feet into the air. Swoop up and soar towards the clouds and spectacular California panoramas. An IMAX projection dome wraps 180 degrees around you, so you’re engulfed by the impressive scenery.

Special cameras on airplanes and helicopters captured many of the shots and the glider moves the same way the aircraft did, so you really feel like you’re flying as you glide over such awe-inspiring vistas and landmarks as :

Get a bird’s-eye view over a PGA West golf tournament, a skiing and snowboarding exhibition, and float above cowboys on horseback as they race through the wilderness.

Feel the wind in your hair. The air fills with the scent of orange groves, evergreens and the sea breeze. Your feet dangle free. Dip down so close to the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, you think your toes will get wet. Then return to the sky and continue on Soarin’ to a fantastic finale where fireworks burst into sensational colors around you.

 

 

ATTRACTION: Spaceship Earth

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Rider swap available. It can get dark in parts so beware if you have very small children who are likely to be sensitive to this. Guests must transfer from their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to board the ride vehicle.
 
EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth is one of the most recognized symbols of Disney World. Spaceship Earth is to EPCOT as Cinderella’s Castle is to Magic Kingdom. At 180 feet high the iconic ride can be seen for miles around.  
 
Spaceship Earth Attraction omnimover vehicles—dubbed time machines—are equipped with interactive touch screens that ask you how you would like to live, work and play in the world of tomorrow. Utilizing image capture and face recognition technology, you can then enjoy a glimpse of your potential future self at the end of the attraction as you star in your very own mini video.
 
This 13 minute ride takes you from living in the past to picturing yourself in the future.  Bear witness to prehistoric man’s first words, behold the hieroglyphics of the ancient Egyptians, follow the advanced system of roads amidst Rome, and journey through the Industrial Revolution and the Age of Information.

After the pre show you board a 6 passenger vehicle and travel around the test facility. Along the way you experience various tests including the handling test and braking test.

This is all well and good but of course what you are really waiting for is The High Speed Test. Narrowly missing a collision your vehicle pauses for a second and then the door to the outside opens. Suddenly you are accelerating fast around a banked track outside and reaching speeds of 65 mph before braking pretty sharply.  Exit via the shop.
